Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Ship & Shout, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using Ship & Shout on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Ship & Shout reads the data you connect — code activity, revenue metrics, and traffic — and drafts a weekly “build in public” post together with a revenue chart. Drafts are suggestions generated from your own numbers. You are responsible for reviewing every draft and every figure before you publish it.

3. Accounts & eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old to use Ship & Shout. The service is not intended for children under 16.
• You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You must own, or be authorized to access, every source and account you connect.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Publish content you do not have the right to share, or misrepresent your metrics.
• Use the service to violate any law, infringe intellectual property, or harass others.
• Attempt to bypass security, Row-Level Security, rate limits, or access another user's data.
• Abuse connected providers, or use the service in a way that breaches their terms.
• Reverse engineer, resell, or build a competing service from our non-public components.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or its connected providers.

5. Third-party connections

Ship & Shout connects to your sources using read-only access wherever the provider offers it. We read commit metadata and merged pull requests (never your code), revenue totals and customer counts (we never move money), and aggregate visitor counts. The only writes we ever perform on your behalf are actions you explicitly initiate — such as publishing a finished post to your own LinkedIn feed. Your use of each provider remains subject to that provider's own terms.

6. Your content & ownership

You own your content. The metrics you connect and the drafts produced from them are yours. You grant Ship & Shout a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and display that content solely to operate the service for you — and to publish it only where and when you instruct us to (for example, to LinkedIn or the opt-in public timeline). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups pending their scheduled purge.

7. Publishing responsibility

Publishing is always your decision. Because drafts are generated from your data by automated tools, you are solely responsible for the accuracy and content of anything you publish. Review figures, wording, and claims before sharing. Ship & Shout is not responsible for the consequences of content you choose to publish.

8. Plans, billing & refunds

• Free: $0. One generated draft per week with a small badge.
• Pro: $15/month or $150/year. Unlocks watermark removal, additional regenerations, custom chart themes, and LinkedIn publishing.
• Lifetime: $225 one-time.

Billing is handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, who processes payments and applicable taxes. Paid Pro plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee — contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period. Lifetime purchases are covered by the same 30-day guarantee.

9. Third-party platforms

Ship & Shout does not depend on the X/Twitter API. Publishing targets are copy-to-clipboard, user-initiated LinkedIn posting, image download, and the opt-in public timeline. We are not responsible for changes, outages, or policy decisions of any third-party platform you publish to.

10. Disclaimers

Ship & Shout is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that drafts will be accurate. You are responsible for verifying every figure before publishing.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ship & Shout and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ship & Shout from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you publish, your breach of these terms, or your misuse of the service or connected providers.

13. Termination

You can stop using Ship & Shout and delete your account at any time in Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to us, other users, or providers. On termination, the license in section 6 ends and your data is handled as described in our GDPR & Your Data page.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at Ship & Shout's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence continue to apply.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will update the “last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
